ThreadPort runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or sell user data.
What ThreadPort accesses
- The contents of the active Threads post page (only when you click the export button or the popup action) so it can produce the printable document.
-
Public images hosted on
cdninstagram.comandfbcdn.netreferenced by the post, when you choose to include media in the exported document. -
The public Threads
/embed/endpoint as a fallback when the on-page DOM is incomplete.
What is stored locally
-
Your print preferences (paper size, density, media, metrics,
auto-print, archive size) under
chrome.storage.local. -
A recent-export archive of the captures you have produced, stored
under
chrome.storage.local. You can clear it at any time from the Options page.
What ThreadPort does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or remote logging.
- No accounts, no servers, no third-party services.
ThreadPort is open source. Questions about data handling can be directed to the project repository or support channels.
